Horror Anthology

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who submitted outlines. The deadline has now passed and we are reviewing submitted material. Stay tuned for more information.

An opportunity to produce a feature length film has recently presented itself to our group and we would love to share this opportunity to those that are interested.

The idea is to create a feature film of around 85 minutes in length that is comprised of 4 to 5 short films. Ideally, each segment would have a different writer and director. Packaged as an anthology, several themes would unite the stories and fit them together as a single film.

The project has been proposed by Mark Tuit (Barnone, Shelflife, and Blood: A Butcher’s Tale). His vision is a collection of short horror films that each feature a pacific coast setting.

Each segment will be filmed independently and funded through a crowdfund service such as indiegogo. The funds will pay for the various costs of the production including materials, transportation, food, and post production services. The project will also draw from local talent such as those involved in the Nanaimo Film Group. To minimize costs, volunteers will be needed to help assist the production. This is a great opportunity for members who would like to gain experience while also being credited in a feature film.

At this point we welcome the submission of any horror script that may fit the guidelines for this project (9-19 minutes in length). The project will be managed by Mark Tuit, Greg Tegler, Nicholas Lucas, and Aaron Colyn. If writing for this project appeals to you please submit a one page story outline.
